Reach

Most of what we plan happens inside the United States — coast to coast, across more regions than any single itinerary could touch. It is the base the rest of the map gets measured against.

Everything outside it is chosen with the same care, just less of it: a smaller set of international routes each year, built the same unhurried way as the ones closer to home.

United States

The wider effort, region by region, coast to coast.

International

A shorter list, added only where the access is worth it.

United States

There is very little of the country we would call unfamiliar. From the Pacific edge to the Gulf, the desert Southwest to the coast of Maine, the routes we plan rarely take the same shape twice.

Domestic trips get the same drafting process as anything overseas — a route built around what a traveller actually wants, not a fixed list of stops everyone is walked through.

International

International routes are added deliberately, not to fill out a brochure. Each one is on this list because we found people worth working with on the ground, not because the destination looked good on a page.
